In 2008, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the Institute of Medicine (IOM) joined forces and embarked on a two year joint venture to really assess the need for changes in the nursing profession in the face of the changing health care landscape.
This joint committee fashioned a report that outlined the necessary and dynamic actions that the nursing profession needs to make in order to progress with the climate of health care reform.
