With the use of technology, a more student centered environment can be created. Creating a student centered environment “effectively implements multiple teaching techniques to enhance students’ education experience and provide them with greater control over their academic learning,” (Bishop, Caston, & King, 2014).

Technology helps teachers create more diverse lessons that reach and have a greater impact on student learning because it is more interactive. With the building of 21 st century students, it is also important that they are technologically literate so they may be competitive in the 21 st century job market.

As educators, we have to become comfortable with integrating technology, which also means that we need to teach our students how to use it more productively for the mastery of course content. One way this can be done is by introducing it to them throughout the course of the day within each subject.

Technology enables the teacher to present the material in multiple ways, allows students the chance to engage with multiple means, and also to reflect on their learning.
