U will merge two major companies on Wall Street currently planning to merge and do the following: (create a simple version of a consolidation and make a recommendation to the board members based on your consolidated results-will discuss). The IS will show Revenues and Expenses only, the Balance Sheet will show Assets (including a line for investment), Liability (show account if used to acquire) and Equity (including Common stock issuance if used to acquire). You will then decide which group members you would like to present you case to me in class assuming I am the board. We shall discuss in class. (I will discuss in class next meeting)

You will build your own consolidation model, including foreign subsidiaries, consolidated subs and unconsolidated subs. Assume you own one subsidiary in Russia (100%), China (100%), India (100%), Brazil (80%) and Argentina (10%).  Assume India owns a 90% sub in Argentina, China’s government does not allow control and Argentina’s functional currency is the USD$ (Revs, Exp, Equity, Assets (including investments & inventory,) and liabilities.
