Scenario:

You work in strategic planning for your organization. For the past five years, you have served in a number of roles within the organization. Recently, the organization’s senior leadership team determined that a more effective strategy planning process is needed. Therefore, you have gladly stepped into a role to help determine what the improved processes or activities might be.

You have been asked by your manager to put together a white paper to help the executive team better understand the concepts and principles of a well-designed strategy process. Further, the white paper is to include a set of examples of strategy planning activities, which are specific to this organization. For the purpose of this assignment, the concepts and examples in the white paper will be used as a basis for discussion at an upcoming executive team retreat.

Project Requirements:

Your white paper should between 5-7 pages in length (not including title, reference pages, or appendixes) and APA Requirements. In addition to your textbook, include at least eight scholarly, peer-reviewed references.

In your paper, you are required to present the strategy concepts, theories, and principles, which are important for the senior executive leadership team to understand in the strategy creation process.

Note: You must present seven (7) examples of strategy planning activities designed specifically for your selected organization. Include a clear and understandable title of each of your 7 example activities along with a brief overview description of 1 or 2 sentences for each.

In Appendix A, include the titles of the example activities with more complete descriptions for each. The benefits and value of each activity specific to your organization parameters are required.

You must include at least one original table or figure that relates to your selected company. Please note that additional tables and figures are acceptable. (Inserting tables and figures from published sources are not considered original). Be sure to format the table or figure title and notes according to APA standards.

Example: An activity that would be relevant to content is a Demand and Competition Analysis. Consider how ethics fits into your strategic planning process. Consider the macro environment and trends in strategic management as you prepare your white paper.
