 The objective of the study aims at examining the challenges faced in the power sector in Nigeria and solutions of adopting revolutionary innovations to power generations in sub-Saharan Africa with particular mention of Nigeria.
 Also to establish a relation AND IMPORTANCE between the economic and social development and the need for adequate power supply. In order to better understand these challenges facing innovation adoption to power generation in SSA, Nigeria’s Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN).

Methodology:

The primary data will be collected through the administering of questionnaires. Questionnaires issued out will cut across the senior management, middle management and junior management of the power holding company of Nigeria and companies in the power sector.
The research takes cognizance of pertinent institutions involved in power generation in Nigeria and information will be gotten from the power holding company’s website, previously research work, government articles, published journals and websites of energy companies in question. The objectives will be achieved through a survey of research methodology in an orderly and systematic approach used by the collection of empirical data through qualitative and quantitative methods.

Data collection methods- data received from questioners will be analysed and interpreted with a chi square. I anticipate 75% rate response from questioners.


