GUIDELINES:

 

You are required to write a critical analysis of at least 1200 words in length on Robert Cialdini’s book Influence, Science and Practice, 5^th Edition. Your analysis is due at the beginning of class on Monday, October 24, 2016. Late papers will devalue by 1% for each day they are late.

 

Completion of the Influence Paper will be worth 5% of your total grade.

 

WHAT TO DO:

 

1. Read Cialdinis book Influence, Science and Practice, 5^th Edition critically.

 

2. Write a paper addressing the following:

 

1. Cialdini presents six weapons of social influence. Describe in detail the characteristics of each one in your own words.

 

1. For each weapon of social influence, give an example from YOUR life of an experience with that weapon. The weapon of influence might have been used by you or used against you.

 

1. Conclude your paper by telling me which weapon(s) you feel is the most important weapon of social influence. You might chose the weapon that influences the most people, or the weapon that is the most effective when put into use, but give me your opinion on which weapon you believe to be the most powerful and tell me why.

 

3. Make sure your paper is properly formatted (12 point font, double spaced, 1” margins all around; top, bottom, left and right)
