Personal Essay on Why I chose RN as a career?
We are a family of five, middle class from an Asian country and I’m the youngest of three girls. When I was young, I dream of becoming a nurse and work in a hospital. Nursing was an expensive course in our country. I took a business course in college instead because we couldn’t afford nursing school at that time. Part of my dream came true though.. after college I’ve worked in a hospital in the accounting department. Then I met the love of my life, migrated in the USA and got married. I was a stay at home mom until my first child was 3. Went back to work in retail then decided to go back to school. Took a CNA class prep course and worked as a CNA for almost 3 years. Went back to school for my LPN and currently working in a nusring home. I love working with the elderly, helping people, making a difference in the patient and family’s lives. Presently in school for my long time dream as an RN.
