The text shows that using a visual cue helps to compare values based on where the other values are placed within a given coordinate system. The visualizations used herein use position to depict the impact that every car is likely to make when there is a recall. For this work, the first and third audience sets were selected and their visualizations adjusted.
The visualizations used meet the needs of the audience and can clearly help to drive the conversation right from the initial information consumer to the level of where the changes are to be implemented. For the second visualization was based on the shape which helps to provide contexts. The NHTSA audience text is driven by the provided data which is the visual presentation of share of the affected units by considering the make (Yau, 2013). Using color in the heat map also helps to provide better visual context.

The first data visualization method was the use of cues which was important because it helped to provide key data to the same target audience. The different visualization methods responded to the needs of the intended audience since the visualization varied both in design, color and intensity.
