One author (Marquis) argued that abortion, “except possibly in rare cases,” is seriously immoral and impermissible. Another (Jarvis Thomson) argued that abortion is permissible even in cases involving failure of contraceptives during consensual sex. The assignment is to discuss whether either of these authors has led you to reconsider your views about abortion. If you were anti-abortion/pro-life and Jarvis Thomson changed your mind, explain in detail why you found her argument persuasive. Do the same for Marquis if you were pro-choice before reading his article and pro-life after. If the material we covered did not lead you to reconsider your views, explain why.
