My interest for my main paper is the subject of abortion. While abortion could be considered an ethical issue, it is also considered a health issue because of unsafe and unregulated abortions which often leads to other health problems and even death. While I am on the fence about the practice, personally I don’t believe that I should bring my religious belief to bear on what someone else thinks or wants to do, I do believe that people should have a right to choice.

I would like to write about abortion because I think it is not just an ethical issues but also a health issues as well. In the US for example, there is a movement to defund institutions that provide abortion services. That argument is often tied to other spending bill so therefore, in order to pass other bills which are equally as important as abortion, it is often stalled in the House.

I for one while I don’t like the idea of abortion, I believe that this should be a decision between a woman, her husband or partner and her doctor or health care provider to make that decision. In the wake of Zika and the adverse effects of microcephaly on developing fetus. More needs to be done to give women the right to make that choice.
