This research paper endeavors to demonstrate the need for additional regulation in the dietary supplement industry to mitigate the exploitation of the public by the dietary supplement manufacturing companies. Currently, the some of the dietary supplement manufacturing companies are marketing and selling low quality products at very high costs. There is a need for standardization in this regard. A need to establish a guideline that will require the dietary supplement manufacturing companies to state the ingredients and actual levels of the ingredients within the supplement is rife. This guideline will deter these companies from replacing expensive ingredients with cheap ones and using extremely low quantities of an ingredient in a supplement such that it will be of no value. …………………………………………
