This course provides the Middle Grades major the opportunity to administer and interpret data to differentiate instruction based on assessments of student learning needs. The pre-service teacher will use a variety of assessment tools to monitor student progress and use data-informed analysis to design lessons to enhance 5-9 students’ reading ability. They will identify characteristics of struggling and successful readers, as well as students who are English Language Learners.
