This is the research question, and from viewing the case study is a summary of the two towns, What effect does air pollution has on triggering respiratory disease in adults that live in the inner city compared to those who live in suburban community in a two year span
In viewing the two case studies, Ironridge is more of the inner city with the environment dirty, polluted air with smoke from the factories and combustion from the buses, the area is crowed with people on the street littering and loitering. While Summerville is more of a residential community in the suburb, with the environment clean, not crowed and children playing on the streets and riding their bikes. Their garbage is kept in a covered shed, away from the houses, so their health issues and safety is far less than Ironridge. The research purpose used will be descriptive, as descriptive research is used to describe characteristics of a population or phenomenon being studied, and also it does not answer questions about how, when or why the characteristics occur as in these case studies.
