Once all the data is collected from sixty non-clinical elderly Uzbek Russian-speaking participants, the results of their overall scores will be analyzed to determine if they were significant between the Russian versions of the CANA and of the MMSE-2: SV. They will also be reviewed to see if there were correlations between English versions of the CANA and the MMSE-2: SV. Subsequently, the performance on the Russian version of the CANA will be compared to the English version of the CANA. Additionally, the results of the Russian version of the MMSE-2: SV and the English version of the MMSE-2: SV will be compared to determine if there were score differences between the two assessments. Lastly, the scores of the English and Russian versions of the CANA will be compared to the scores of the English and Russian versions of the MMSE-2: SV.

Get Help Now!The results of the participant’s overall scores will be reviewed and analyzed using the IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences v22.0 (SPSS). Prior to running the analyses, there will be a preliminary data analysis to determine if there are any missing data or outliers. Any missing data and outliers will be excluded from the analysis.
After the preliminary data screening, the normality assumption will be checked and appropriate data transformations performed if necessary. Then, two t-tests will be conducted to address the first two research questions, assuming that Levene’s test for homogeneity of variance is acceptable: will there be score differences between the Russian version of the CANA and the English version of the CANA, and will there be score differences between the Russian version of the MMSE-2: SV and the English version of the MMSE-2: SV?
After checking for linearity and homoscedasticity and performing any data transformations as necessary, two bivariate Pearson correlations will be computed. The first Pearson correlation will assess if there is a significant correlation between the Russian version of the CANA to the Russian version of the MMSE-2: SV. Additionally, the second Pearson correlation analysis will assess if there is a significant correlation between the English version of the CANA and the English version of the MMSE-2: SV.
After checking that the statistical assumptions for conducting a Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) have been met, a MANOVA will be conducted to determine if there are any significant differences between the scores for the four different test versions (the dependent variables) with test order as the independent variable. It is expected that test order will not have a significant effect on the four dependent variables.
Additionally, further analyses will be conducted as suggested by the findings from the initial analyses.
