BCOR 2003 Fall 2016 Business Law Case Analysis Assignment for students taking Business Law in the 2nd half of the term General instructions This assignment contains descriptions of scenarios involving concepts covered in class. Please answer each question as thoroughly, but concisely, as you can, making reference as much as possible to concepts covered in class. Further Instructions and Tips  Multiple Possibilities. Some questions will have more than one possible outcome; in such cases you should describe each possible outcome and the factor(s) that would determine which possible outcome would occur.  Missing Information. If there is any information that is missing that you believe is relevant to your analysis or conclusion, identify what that missing information is, and how it would affect your analysis or conclusion. I cannot answer “clarifying questions” about anything in the assignment.  Instructor assistance. The instructors cannot provide assistance on this assignment. They can, of course, answer questions about the legal concepts and issues involved in the scenarios, but cannot assist you in applying those to the scenario.  Collaboration with fellow students. You can discuss this assignment, your analyses, and your responses with classmates, but your actual written responses must be in your own words.  How to answer and submit. You should enter your responses directly into the separate document on D2L under “Case Analysis Response Template.” Enter your name and ID# at the top of that document. You should save the document by adding your name to the end of the document name. (e.g. “BCOR 2003 Blaw case Analysis response of John Smith.doc”) Then submit to the D2L dropbox for the second half for your specific instructor that is set up in D2L.  Deadline to submit. The deadline is at 11:00 pm on Sunday night, November 6. As with any task with a deadline, you should allow for delays, technology glitches, other things to come up, tasks to take longer than expected, etc, etc. In other words, you should plan to submit the assignment well ahead of the Sunday night deadline to allow for such events. For example, “the wifi in my apartment complex was out on Sunday” is not justification for missing the deadline.  In the event that due to technology issues, you are unable to submit the assignment to the dropbox, you must email it to your instructor by the same deadline. In other words, it must reach your instructor by 11:00 pm on Sunday, November 6, in the D2L dropbox, or as an emergency backup, via email.  Your assignment must be submitted either as a Word document or as a pdf file. Other file formats cannot be accepted.  Most of the questions generally should require no more than 4 to 5 sentences or so for a response.  Any failure to follow any of these instructions will result in a loss of points.
