My first professional interest is Pharmaceutical Epidemiologist. This method of epidemiology focuses on monitoring the safety of pharmaceutical drugs and their exposure. Additionally, pharmaceutical epidemiologist promotes public health and safety by focusing on specific disease and developments within communities (Faubion, n.d.). In addition, Pharmaceutical epidemiologists organize research, based on the outcomes of pharmaceuticals, human health, and wellness, using clinical trials to evaluate social patterns and trends that cause a high risk of health conditions within a population (Faubion, n.d.). Moreover, pharmaceutical epidemiologists use reasoning methods to investigate effects and harm or prescription, over-the-counter medication, immunizations, and medical devices used in communities (Davis, 2021). One Short term goal of mine is to shadow the Epidemiology team to gain a better understanding of their day-to-day activities. One long-term goal will be to further my education with a focus on epidemiology.
