1.There are many attributes that define a quality leader. Some of these attributes can be defined by their techniques of influence. Such influences are legitimate request, instrumental compliance, coercion, rational pursuasion, rational faith, inspirational appeal, indoctrination, information distortion, situational engineering, personal identification and decision identification (Stojkovic, 2015, p.192). Of these techniques of influence, I feel the best technique of influence is through personal identification. The qualities that make a good leader is the moral character that leader posses. Like the video on Martin Luther King’s leadership, it showed just how many people were willing to follow him as a leader due his moral character and the way he carried himself. If you have an authoritative leader who doesn’t live by the rules he is trying to enforce, it makes people question his character and not respect him as a leader. By setting the example of what you expect from your subordinates, I feel that is the attribute that makes a quality leader.
