An AS332L helicopter flies regularly between the Western Malaysia and its offshore islands along the east coast. The helicopter is operated by an oil & gas support company and has been in service for more than 10 years. During a heavy check maintenance, its tail boom bulkhead at station 12964.08 was found corroded. A9-cm crack was also detected on the base of the tail pylon primary structure, left of the BL 0 line. See Figures1 and 2.The drain hole was found blocked.
