You will have the entire week to complete the exam. The exam will cover all of the concepts from the entire course (Lessons 1 – 8). You are expected to provide in-depth responses. Read each part carefully and respond to each part of the question thoroughly. Use your own understanding of the topic from your text and outside resources. Feel free to use your book and classroom materials; however, make sure you support all answers with research and follow the APA format. Use at least seven credible sources for your essay, including at least two sources from the University library. Proper citation and references in APA 6th ed. format are expected and required. An abstract is not needed. Only submit when you have finished the exam, and want to turn it in for grading.
WARNING: Cite all sources used in your responses. Any instance of plagiarism can have detrimental consequences on your exam grade and/or final grade. The vast majority of your work should be your own original analysis. Paraphrase what you read instead of quoting. Also, review plagiarism.org, as this shows that a paper that consists of quotes strung together is not original and is plagiarism. Using too many quotes will bump you into this category.
Research a company that has been in the news due to ethical problems. Evaluate the ethical dilemma under two ethical frameworks. Analyze what part whistleblowers played in the exposure to the company. Discuss how employment-at-will affected the employees and the company. Evaluate whether the company used marketing or public relations successfully when trying to repair the damage caused by the reported lapse in ethics.
Reflect on the class discussions and the articles that you have read during the class and use the information, and other academic sources to write a 2500- 3000 word essay critiquing the company, its operations, and the ethical dilemma it caused.
