What is the most interesting thing you learned over the quarter?

What is the most interesting thing you learned over the quarter? Be specific and explain why.
How can what you have learned in biological anthropology be useful to you outside of the classroom? In other words, how can you use what you learned in other areas of your life? What I'm trying to determine is if you can take what some might think of as esoteric information and make it personally useful.
If there is one thing you could change about the course, what would it be and how might it be improved? (I'm asking for constructive criticism here; if you're not going to provide a suggestion for improvement don't bother answering this question. I have an opportunity next year to spend a significant amount of time redesigning the course. I'd like to fix what needs fixing!)
